• Introduction & Interface (05:23) - This video introduces the series and outlines the different areas of the interface. We focus on the two main pages, Home and Beatmaker, where we can create custom sounds and beats.
• Drum Details (10:56) - Learn the various ways in which we can alter each drum hit, including volume, pan, tuning, and effects. We also cover blending between two kicks and two snares to get new layered samples.
• Sound Design Effects (08:51) - Next up, we introduce the sound design effects, such as saturation, modulation effects, filtering, and spatial effects. We also demonstrate how swing can be added to your beats.
• Sound Design Performance Controls (04:27) - This video is concerned with the sound design performance controls, which allow the pitch bend wheel to stretch, glitch, filter, and reverse our sounds.
• Beatmaker Pt. 1 (10:51) - Next up, we start investigating Beatmaker. You'll learn how to program beats and then tweak parameters such as velocity, tuning, decay, and feel to be sequenced for some added groove and rhythmic interest.
• Beatmaker Pt. 2 (06:22) - This video covers the remaining parameters of Beatmaker, including adding rolls and also tuning the pitch of the kick drum to the key of the track.
• Sound Design Mod Wheel Performance Controls (06:17) - We cover the sound design effects controlled by the mod wheel next. This links to Beatmaker and its various sequencing options, allowing hands-on control of many parameters.
• Separate Outputs (02:51) - In this video, we demonstrate how to route sounds to separate outputs within Kontakt.
