Videos
• Intro (04:20) - In this video series, we look at various uses of delay pedals. We'll talk about stacking delays, the use of feedback and effects loops, and the unique sound of the Deluxe Memory Man. The differences in when and how you add delay will be discussed as well.
• TimeLine Feedback Loop (04:14) - This video focuses on the use of a feedback loop in a delay. You'll hear examples of how using a second effect in the feedback loop is very different than using one before or after your delay.
• Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man (04:19) - The EH Deluxe Memory man is one of the most popular analog delays ever built. The level control of the pedal creates a very natural overdrive. We'll look at how this drive interacts with a tube amp and how the sound changes when the pedal is used in the mixing process.
• Digital to Analog (05:11) - Stacking a digital delay and an analog delay is a common technique used by many guitarists. The differences in the placement of these pedals in your signal chain can change your tone noticeably, and this video shows the differences in how the two major styles of delays interact with each other.
• Digital to Digital (04:56) - Stacking two digital delays is another option guitarists frequently use. We'll look at the differences in stacking the delays while playing versus adding a second delay in the mixing process.
• Effects Loop (04:53) - The effects loop in guitar amps is designed to add effects like modulation and delay. Placing the delay in the loop of an amp allows more control over the effect and more consistency in your sound. This video shows how the use of an effects loop can drastically change the results of your delayed sound.
