iZotope Plasma Explained

In this Plasma video tutorial series, mixing guru Larry Holcombe takes you on a tour of Plasma, the new mixing/mastering plug-in from iZotope that takes a new direction when it comes to adding saturation. You'll learn all the functions and features, as well as how to dial in the parameters to achieve just the right sound for your mixes or tracks. After taking this Plasma course, you'll know which controls to adjust to make your productions sound great. These videos are designed for new Plasma users.

Introduction & Interface (06:50) - This video introduces the series and outlines the different areas of the interface. We also discuss the ethos behind this plugin.
Header & Main Control Section (11:31) - We discuss the header functions and main control section next. This covers important parameters like the Flux Saturate control and Overdrive parameters, amongst others.
Main Display (10:08) - Next up, the main display is described in detail, demonstrating the way in which mid/side and transient/sustain can be manipulated separately. We also cover the action handles, allowing the processing to be focused in specific areas.
