Product Overview

In this video course, studio guru Tyler Coffin takes you on an in-depth journey of the Arturia V Keyboard collection, teaching you how to get the most out of these incredible emulations of some of the most important keyboards ever made. You'll learn how to tweak the various onboard parameters to not only achieve the legendary sounds for which these instruments are known, but also some more unique sounds that you can truly make your own. These videos are for new Arturia V Keyboards users.

After welcoming you and providing an introductory overview of the interface and capabilities of the collection, Tyler begins by demonstrating some of the common elements and functions shared by all the keyboards. Then it's time to get funky with an exploration of the Clavinet V, which emulates the instrument made famous by artist like Stevie Wonder ("Superstition"), The Band ("Cripple Creek"), Pink Floyd ("Have a Cigar"), and Bill Withers ("Use Me"), to name a few.

Next, explore the physically modeled parameters of the Stage-73 V, an authentic recreation of the famous Rhodes electric piano, as heard on countless tracks from the likes of The Beatles ("Get Back" with Billy Preston), The Doors ("Riders on the Storm"), Jamiroquai ("Blow Your Mind"), and others. What tune doesn't benefit from a Rhodes track? And what electronic keyboard collection would be complete without a Wurlitzer model? The Wurlitzer V is Arturia's take on this timeless instrument. Though it's often mistaken for a Rhodes, the Wurlitzer is definitely its own beast with its own idiosyncrasies, and Tyler explains how the controls can be tweaked to exploit this fact.

Finally, explore the Piano V - an emulation of an acoustic piano with 12 different models (from concert grand to upright to synthetic creations) - and follow along as Tyler demonstrates how to obtain authentic-sounding piano tracks (and more!) from this inspiring instrument.

To finish up the course, Tyler concentrates on sound design. Not only will you learn how to create the sounds for which these classics are renowned, but you'll also learn how to tweak their parameters to achieve your own unique, inimitable tones that the world has yet to hear! See the video descriptions below for more details on each video in the course. Learn how to fill that gaping keyboard-sized hole in your productions... watch "Arturia Keyboards Explained®" today!
